Electrify your Cigar Box Guitar

Make it electric and make it heard!!! ONLY $15.00

It doesn’t get any easier than these Dual Piezo pickup discs with peel and stick self-adhesive, volume and tone controls, and all prewired to a 1/4″ inch input jack. Electrify your playing and get that raw, swampy sound from your cigar box guitar. You can also easily electrify your ukulele or mandolin,…even your washtub bass or washboard, heck, use it for a stomp box!

*Use a 5/16 inch drill bit for the volume and tone controls, and a 3/8 inch drill bit for the input jack. Peel and stick the discs inside your guitar and you’re done. Easy.
Pro tip: use a layer of hot glue to seal up the pick up to reduce outside noises.

  1. When placing the piezo pickup on the neck so it’s directly under the bridge, do you peel off the paper from the adhesive surface?

  2. Jason,

Thanks a lot for the help, enjoyed meeting you yesterday.
I’ve decided to go into my Ukulele from the back and then just drill a couple of holes in the top to attach the volume/tone controls. I’ve got the hole cut in the back and I’ll be able to place the Piezos pretty close to the bridge. Because my strings are attached like a guitar I can’t get them directly under the bridge but pretty close.

Going to have to pick up a couple of knobs, any recommendations? Don’t want to drill the hole on the top for the two controls until I have the knobs so that I can get a better placement.

Again, thank you for your help and looking forward to getting it done.

    • Hey Jeff, can’t wait to see it! As far as the knobs go, they fit on the knurled shaft and would not effect the size of the hole you drill for the control pot. Check out Radio Shack or Fry’s for different knobs, some press on, some have a set screw, find something that completes the look you are going for. Good Luck, have fun!
