Livin’ High on the Hog…three string cigar box guitar

High on the Hog

High on the Hog High on the Hog

This piece was part of a series of cigar box guitars I did with a “butcher cut” theme. This was a short scale (22″), three string acoustic with a ‘do, re, mi’ fret marker layout. I off-set the neck from center a bit to give a little different dynamic since the cigar box itself was a square. SOLD

  1. As a follow up on the painting question…What do you use to seal the painted and wood surfaces? Haven’t finished my first build and already planning the next.

    • Hey Jim, to seal the painted and wood surfaces, I use a clear spray called Deft. you can find it at the hardware store, great stuff, quick drying and I use a few coats. Hope this helps. Thanks.
