This piece was part of a series of cigar box guitars I did with a “butcher cut” theme. This was a short scale (22″), three string acoustic with a ‘do, re, mi’ fret marker layout. I off-set the neck from center a bit to give a little different dynamic since the cigar box itself was a square. SOLD
As a follow up on the painting question…What do you use to seal the painted and wood surfaces? Haven’t finished my first build and already planning the next.
Hey Jim, to seal the painted and wood surfaces, I use a clear spray called Deft. you can find it at the hardware store, great stuff, quick drying and I use a few coats. Hope this helps. Thanks.
