Custom painted box and neck art. The chicken foot and the two headed snake on the box, keep the mojo where it belongs. The neck and head stock are custom painted and slightly “aged” for a vintage, broken-in feel. This box is a little thicker than most and has a real nice sound. There is a volume control and of course piezo transducer pick up to electrify your mojo. SOLD
Hand painted oil portrait of ol’ One-Eye Willie on a Cuban Partagas box with a custom painted headstock, and branded fret dots. A piezo transducer pick up and volume control are on board as well. This guitar ‘looks’, no pun intended, as good as it sounds.
This is One-hand Dan, he is ol’ One-eye Willie’s partner. He may only have one hand, but that just gives him more to sing about. Hand painted oil portrait on a Cuban Romeo y Julieta box with branded in fret dots on the dark poplar wood neck. This four string cigar box guitar has a volume control with chrome knob and piezo transducer pick up…real raw. SOLD
This cigar box is very cool, I love the rough cut wood and rustic feel of this one. This cigar box guitar, has toothpick frets and a piezo pick up with volume control. There are two sound holes under the brass name plate, and the plate is slightly raised to let out the raw sound. This thing sounds mean when it’s plugged in. SOLD
Here it is, the one that started it all for me…My Very First Cigar Box Guitar. I got some boxes from a friend that smokes cigars and set out to make my own guitar based on a picture of an old antique cigar box guitar that I saw in a magazine. There were no instructions, no right or wrong way, just whatever worked. I hacked it all together and whatdaya know…it really worked. The rest is in the pages of this website as all the guitars that I have done since starting in 2007.
