Unlock the Delta Blues…with these KEY’s

Here was a custom order…the electric with the key ring of antique keys (it is a painting of the tattoo the customer has on his arm). I liked the ‘key’ theme, so I did an accompanying acoustic version as well, and I found some lock opening type metal thing’s (yeah, I know nice description) to decorate the boxes with.

Green with Envy…

This 4 string cigar box guitar was a custom build for a guy that sold me my VW Westfalia, he wanted it clean and mean…This Cuban cigar box was just right. The green color with the highlights for the fret markers, really sets it off. It is fretted, with a piezo pick up and an old bakelite radio knob for the volume control. Classic. SOLD

Mean, yet Clean in cigar box design

Here’s a couple of clean builds, both 4 string, both electric, both with toothpick frets and cherry wood necks…I love the way the sound holes turned out on these cigar box guitars. SOLD

Friend Portrait, cigar box guitar with piezo pick up

Friend Portrait Friend Portrait Friend Portrait

I did this cigar box guitar with a portrait of a friend of mine…looks kinda distant and lonely, goes perfect with the blues. This is a four string electric, with maple neck and oak fretboard and this box sounds amazing unplugged, great tone. SOLD

Voodoo Chicken Foot, it’s got da mOjO

Custom painted box and neck art. The chicken foot and the two headed snake on the box, keep the mojo where it belongs. The neck and head stock are custom painted and slightly “aged” for a vintage, broken-in feel. This box is a little thicker than most and has a real nice sound. There is a volume control and of course piezo transducer pick up to electrify your mojo. SOLD

One-Eye Willie, electric cigar box guitar

Hand painted oil portrait of ol’ One-Eye Willie on a Cuban Partagas box with a custom painted headstock, and branded fret dots. A piezo transducer pick up and volume control are on board as well. This guitar ‘looks’, no pun intended, as good as it sounds.
